Fits means the whole estimated range is inside your budget, with the features that kind of site usually has. Adding features uses some of the room for pages. After launch, hosting and a domain cost about $10–$25 a month for most sites, paid to others.

how to use it.

  1. Type your budget, or pick a common one.
  2. Read which kinds of site fit in each tier. The best fit is the highest tier your budget fully covers.
  3. Open any cell in the calculator to adjust pages and features, then send it to us for a fixed quote.

what it tells you.

Each cell is worked out with the same engine as our calculators: the largest version whose whole estimated range, top included, fits inside your budget.

Tight means your budget reaches the bottom of a range but not the top, so it depends on scope. We say so rather than promise it.

How should I set a website budget?

Start from what the site must do for the business: the leads or sales it should bring in a year. Spend enough to do that one job well, keep a share for content and photos, and budget for running costs after launch. A smaller site done well beats a bigger one done badly.

Why does a bigger budget not always mean a higher tier?

Tiers are about how the site is designed: an adapted theme, original design, or a brand system with motion. A bigger budget can buy a larger site on the same tier instead. The planner shows both, so you can choose which matters more.
